WP5- Integration, validation and evaluation

WP5 task will be engaged with the integration and the validation of the individual components of the AIM architecture, based on the results of WP3 and WP4 and the success criteria set in WP2. This task will concern the integration of the AIM components (the EMD and their integration within the appliances, the home network, the virtualisation logic and the user applications), the Functional testing of the integrated AIM architecture and the validation of the user applications.

WP5 comprises the following objectives:

• Integrate the AIM power management architecture that has been designed in WP3, consisting of the EMDs, the power management logic for powered and stand-by devices and the external management interfaces towards the home network, the appliances and the power network
• Integrate the interworking logic with the home network and protocols and the device virtualisation logic that has been designed in WP4
• Provide the enhanced residential gateway and the external interfaces to public networks
• Integrate the virtualisation logic on the residential gateway and in the public network as operator service
• Integrate of the pilot applications
• Validate the operation of the overall architecture and eliminate potential bottlenecks
• Define success criteria for the AIM evaluation environment based on the initial user requirements
• Evaluate the AIM architecture through the conduction of user experiments
